It’s that time again! Christmas Jumper Day 2014 is nearly upon us and it’s time to start looking.
With the rise of the iconic Christmas jumpers becoming more a fashion statement than a once dreaded present, Chester Intelligencier has taken to the streets of Chester’s in a bid to find the best Christmas jumpers.
Christmas jumpers are this years must have and as the big day looms the shops are bursting full with some brilliant designs. With our prices ranging from £12-£46 there’s a budget to suit all and with bright colours, jumpers that light up or jingle it seems the tackier the better.
If you’re looking for designer labels this year but don’t want to splash out then Debemhams had some star buys with up to 30% off selected lines. Redherring had a classic blue men’s Christmas jumper with a holly, bell, and tree patterned knit with festive slogans. For only £28 it’s the perfect addition to your designer winter wardrobe.
Also girls, if you want to show off your Christmas woollies in style Topshop offered a wide range of stylish sweaters. Their beautiful grey jumper with Christmas trees was perfect for that Christmas party but for £46 it’s a steep price to pay to look good.
If you’re just after a classic tacky woolly this year then River Island and H&M has some good contenders. We love their bright green Santa jumper from H&M for only £14.99 and River Island’s cheeky skiing robin featuring a novelty squeaky belly reduced to £20. And for those who like to take tacky to the next level River Island even had a jumper that lit up and played classic Christmas jingles for £20.
But if you’re just after a great bargain this year then we’ve found Chester’s top buys for Christmas jumpers at New look and Primark. Prepare yourself for the holiday season with New Look’s cream holly jumper for £13 and when it comes to cheap and cheerful designs Primark is the place to go because let be honest, who wants to over spend on knitwear?. Their blue jumper has a robin and a striped woolly hat for £12.
